A new waterplay area for Clapham Common

Consultation begins this week on plans to replace the old and disused paddling pool on Clapham Common with a new waterplay facility for children of all ages.

The proposal developed by Lambeth Council and Clapham Common MAC (CCMAC) has been identified as one of the priority projects as part of a wider aim to upgrade facilities across Clapham Common.

Set to open next year, the current proposal aims to create a modern, safe and stimulating waterplay area where children can splash and play over the warm spring and summer months. The new waterplay will be free and operate from May to the end of September.

Waterplay is a considerable investment so we want to make sure we make the right choices. Over the coming weeks, consultation will take place with parents, guardians, carers, teachers and children to understand what they would like to see as part of the upgrade.
