It’s been a busy year for Bandstand Beds, Clapham’s food growing project based on the Common.
This summer they’ve extended their community garden on Windmill Drive, adding more raised beds and doubling the amount of vegetables they can grow, often used in cook-ups in their newly installed shipping container-come-kitchen.
In the last few months they have been running a produce stall and events to raise money through Spacehive to pay for pathways in the extended garden, to make it a safe a welcoming place for everyone.
The target of £5.055 has been reached and the pathways are now in place.
To celebrate this fantastic achievement and to thank everyone who helped and supported their crowdfunding, Bandstand Beds are holding a Halloween Happening launch event for the pathways. There’ll be delicious food cooked from their home-grown produce, pumpkin carving and other spooky goings on.
Bandstand Beds Halloween Happening on Saturday 28 October 2017, from 11am until 3.30 – free and everyone welcome!
