It’s Gold to go Green

Concerted and coordinated efforts over the past few years to improve the biodiversity and cleanliness of Clapham Common have been rewarded with two honours.

The first is a Gold at the London in Bloom Awards in the Commons category. (Clapham Common received Silver last year so this is a significant advancement.) The second is a Bees’ Needs Champion Award  in recognition of the work done on the Common to help pollinators and wildlife, with specific mention of the wildflower havens created on the Common and Bandstand Beds‘ community garden beside Windmill Drive.

Thank you must go to the staff of Lambeth Council who work together with CCMAC to ensure Clapham Common thrives today and for future generations.
